krakowicz See the orange one on top? It is a Honduran milk snake with a recessive gene for hypomelanism. At one time they sold for as much as $3000!

krakowicz Yes, they do. At one time I had 40 snakes, living in the master bedroom. I bred them and sold their offspring. Now I have only four.

krakowicz She laid 23 eggs that year (2011), and all of them hatched. I sold all of them as a group. Before I sell, each one goes into its own plastic container and must feed at least twice on live pink mice. Thanks for your question. You must be a native English speaker, your English is that good.

krakowicz She is not really blonde, not in the sense that humans can be blonde, but she is amelanistic, meaning she lacks melanin and is, therefore, without the dark pigment that would make her color "normal." Her eyes are pink, too. Normally this snake is black, some specimens being as black as coal. Thank you for your comment Vifsla2007, and may the wind always be at your back.

krakowicz Tata, this female laid 23 eggs two years ago. I would put her away to take your hands.

krakowicz Oh, Tata! These little guys do not bite. Even if you bite them first. They are from Honduras and are quite friendly.

Jasnaja В прошлом году я отдыхала в Тайланде и держала в руках живого удава... Я была очарована этим существом! Игрой его мышц и мягкой тёплой кожей. http://jasnaja.gallery.ru/watch?ph=QJ1-d5o7c

krakowicz Thank you, Jasnaya. In the US we call these Russian ratsnakes. They are very intelligent for snakes.
