krakowicz You're right. There are two, but they are the same species: Lampropeltis Hondurensis. Honduran Milk Snake. The one on top is hypomelanistic, whereas the one below him is anerythristic + hypomelanistic. I was trying to breed for hypomelanism (no black) because at the time they sold for $2000+. Now they are very common. Thanks so much for your comment (-:

krakowicz This is a black rat snake (Elaphe obsoleta obsoleta). He is not a desert species but prefers wooded areas with a lot of trees to climb. They live in the eastern US where it is hot and humid in spring and summer.
